An 1840’s historic Exeter home had been expanded to include an in-law apartment in the late 1980’s.  Chinburg Builders enhanced the historic front part of the house, restoring original flooring and molding details to their original condition.  The rear of the house was completely renovated to include a modern kitchen, beautiful family room with oak paneling and coffered ceiling, and raised outdoor four season patio with fireplace.  The newly configured home perfectly fits the needs of this family of six, with plenty of comfortable gathering spaces.

The historic Baron house in Hampton had been abandoned for years and had fallen into disrepair.  A young family with an eye for the beauty of the original details of the home could see beyond its state and engaged Chinburg Builders to bring the property back to life.  Chinburg Builders successfully restored the home’s neglected beauty to its original elegance while integrating modern conveniences and energy efficiency.

"Chinburg Builders was a true pleasure to work with. We purchased a historic home with good "bones", but it had been unlived in for years and required a major restoration in order to make it modern and livable. We weren't quite sure what kinds of expensive surprises to expect once the project got underway. Chinburg Builders understood our vision, and stuck to our budget. During the renovations the project manager keep us well informed and was extremely helpful with recommendations from outlet locations to appliances. Original details were carefully preserved or artfully recreated. We have been happily living in our home for a year and a half and love the historic charm and the modern quality. I would highly recommend Chinburg Builders to anyone."
