OVER TWO DECADES, Chinburg Builders has grown from a small family business to the largest homebuilder in the Seacoast. Chinburg Builders employees are genuine individuals who care about the people for whom they create homes. Todd Allen, CAD Designer & Engineering

Todd joined the CBI team in the spring of 2004.  Todd has over 25 years of experience in the building and design trade.  He has not only drafted and designed many homes throughout New England, but also utilized designs to build several homes.  With his creativity, experience, and skills, he is able to layout and design a project with confidence that his interpretation will create the best results for clients.  Todd earned his certificate for Computer Aided Design in 2002 at the University of New Hampshire.  He smoothly and successfully transitioned his career from builder to designer.


Lori Bachand, Customer Service Manager

In 2007, Lori Bachand joined the Chinburg team as the Customer Service Manager. Lori has over 20 years experience in the real estate and home building industry and is committed to making your home buying experience an enjoyable one. Lori works closely with our design team and selections coordinator to research new products and offer our customers the best possible options available. As each home nears completion, Lori works with the project managers to make certain the Chinburg quality standards are met.  When a buyer moves into their new home, Lori is there to make certain it performs as it should.


Eric Chinburg, President

Eric Chinburg founded Chinburg Builders in 1987.  With over 20 years of experience, Eric has built hundreds of homes in New Hampshire and Maine.  With a strong foundation in single family custom homebuilding, Eric has expanded the company to include; multi-unit communities and adaptive re-use of abandoned mill properties. Eric has been recognized as a leader in open space and conservation development. Eric is a Durham, NH native and graduated from UNH with a degree in civil engineering. 


Jen Chinburg, Marketing Director

Jen joined the staff in 2003.  She is responsible for all of the branding and marketing for the Chinburg sales and the mill commerical and residential rental properties. Jen has 20 years of experience in marketing, business management, and economic development. Jen graduated from Boston College in 1991 and earned a certificate of special studies in administration and management from Harvard University in 1996. 


Jon Chinburg, Lead Designer and Estimator

Jon came to Chinburg Builders after his graduation from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1990. He is an experienced designer and works closely with customers to finalize their floor plans. He is also responsible for the pricing of all single family home building projects, and has the knowledge and experience to guide and advise customers on design direction and associated cost. He is the primary sales contact for Chinburg Builders and attends meetings with potential buyers to assist in the transformation of a buyer's vision to a viable project. Jon has participated in the sales, design, and budgeting of hundreds of homes during his tenure at Chinburg Builders.


Gary Demers, Director of Property Maintenance

Gary Demers came to Chinburg Builders in 2003 with over 20 years of experience as the owner of his own landscaping company.  As one of the premier landscape architects in the area, Gary is the genius behind the beautiful landscaping that comes with every Chinburg project. In the summer of 2006, Gary was promoted to the director of property maintenance for Great Mills Management, LLC that manages property for Eric Chinburg.


Laurie Fitzgerald, Selections Coordinator

Laurie joined Chinburg Builders in 2003, after the company built her family home. 

Laurie’s innate ability for interior decorating, knowledge of products and pricing and her personal warmth, sculpted the path to her current position.  Laurie’s role can be as simple as reviewing paint colors or as involved as accompanying future homeowners to their vendor appointments.  Laurie also works on all interior decorating selections of the Chinburg Builders model and spec homes.  Her personal stamp has been placed on numerous Chinburg condos, remodeled mills, and single family homes.


Brandon Gemmiti, Assistant Project Manager

brandonBrandon joined the Chinburg Builders team in February of 2010 as an Assistant Project Manager. Brandon’s construction background is in commercial wood framing. He attended Plymouth State University were he received a BS in Business Management. Soon after his graduation Brandon started work as an Assistant Project Manager for a company that specialized in large commercial construction projects. Chinburg Builders now utilizes Brandon’s experience in managing government, state, military defense, hospital, and other large commercial projects to further develop Chinburg Builders commercial construction division. Brandon also helps in managing Chinburg Builders safety program to insure that every CBI project is completed under the OSHA standards. 


Bob Greene, Finance

Bob began working for CBI as a consultant in early 2006 and has served in various high level management capacities ever since.  Bob is currently responsible for the preparation of all financial reports and strategic financial planning for Chinburg Builders and its related development entities.  He advises the President and management team to maximize overall enterprise financial health and smoothly operating systems. He provides input and direction for the company’s sales and marketing efforts.  He brings over 20 years of business leadership experience to the company.  Outside of work, he serves as Treasurer and Board Member for Squamscott Community Commons, a non-profit working to build a LEED certified community center/YMCA in Exeter, NH.  Bob has a BA in Economics from Lafayette College and an MBA from Rutgers University.


Paul Kerrigan, Chief Operationing Officer

Paul enthusiastically manages the construction operations at Chinburg Builders.  He started in 1993 as a project coordinator, ‘back in the day.’ Paul oversees all aspects of construction from sales thru closings including customer service.  He has been instrumental in our safety program and implementing the employee review system. Paul’s main responsibilities have primarily been the residential sector of the company. Cutting edge products, value engineering and focusing on the environment has been the most recent focus.  Paul is active in the community and coaches some of the youth programs locally.


Kathy Hatch, Office Manager

Kathy joined CBI in 2004.  Kathy manages all lender relationships, including construction loans where she oversees and coordinates all loan draw requests - alleviating our customers of this task - and resolving any issues that might arise. She also works directly with our buyer’s title companies and attorneys ensuring that each closing goes smoothly. Kathy has over 15 years experience in the business accounting and office management fields, with a particular expertise in the creation and implementation of systems to make operations run more efficiently.  Kathy makes customer service a priority and is a wonderful information resource for customers, venders and business partners.  Kathy holds a B.S. in Business Management and an Associates Degree in Accounting.


Marina Hodgdon, Accounting Clerk

Marina joined Chinburg Builders in May 2006. Originally from Moscow, Russia, Marina has lived in the United States for over 9 years. Marina received a B.A. in English from University of Russia's Academy of Education in 1999. Marina is currently working towards her Associates degree in accounting and has been a tremendous asset to the company due to her strong organizational skills, her attention to detail, and her sparkling personality.


Guy LaRochelle, Site Supervisor

Guy joined Chinburg Builders in 1999 and has been a key contributor to several projects.  He is responsible for many facets of production execution, including vendor and subcontractor management, scheduling and quality assurance.  His many years of experience in the trades gives him a keen eye for the performance and quality standards which are trademarks of Chinburg Builders.


Jan Marston, Accounting Supervisor

Jan is the Accounting Supervisor for Chinburg Builders Inc, various development entities, and the leasing operations.  Her responsibilities include general accounting, insurance, taxes, and purchasing for the Project Managers.  Prior to joining CBI in 2006, Jan managed accounting departments in a credit union and a resort.  She is a life long resident of Kittery and has been a volunteer at the New Hampshire SPCA for over a decade.


Greg May,  Design and Production Assistant

Greg has been with the company since 2006.  He has many talents.  He supports the CAD design department.  He works at properties as a general handyman on an as needed basis.  He also assists with the administrative side of the production department.


Wiz Potter, Site Supervisor

Wiz joined the company in 2002.  He has been a key contributor to the overall management and success of various mill renovation projects, a particular expertise of Chinburg Builders.  Renovation and rehabilitation of these historic properties takes specific and specialized construction knowledge.  Wiz is also known for his winning personality and his commitment and consideration to the Chinburg mill residence buyers.


Dave Schommer, Carpenter

Dave joined the company in 2000 and has steadily honed his skills to become a master finish carpenter.  His skills have been transferable across all Chinburg property types and he can be counted on to add value and skill whether the project is a single family home or a mill conversion property.  He is knowledgeable and experienced with many construction methods and operations. His handiwork is evident in the detail finishes in many quality residences.


Brint Shone, Mills Business Manager

Brint joined Chinburg Builders in the fall of 2004 and spent two years working at the Shepard's Cove Development in Kittery, Maine. In September 2006, Brint was promoted to Great Mills Management which manages the operations and leasing of the multiple historic mill properties owned by Eric Chinburg. Brint's 12 years of entrepreneurial experience as a full time soccer coach and administrator with local soccer club, Seacoast United, feeds well to the needs of multiple tenants, the community and the organization of running a business that currently manages close to a million square feet of residential and commercial property. Brint holds his NH Real Estate License with Great Mills Management and is currently working toward his NH Brokers License as well as becoming a Certified Property Manager through the Institute of Real Estate Management.


Geoff Spitzer, Senior Project Manager

Geoff joined Chinburg Builders, Inc (CBI) in 1999 as a Project Manager/Site Supervisor.  His first project was the conversion of an abandoned industrial mill building located in downtown Dover, NH into a 27 unit apartment building.  Since then as the “Mill Guy” for CBI, Geoff has overseen multiple adaptive re-use of historic mill and school projects as well as a variety of multifamily condominium projects. Geoff is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Most recently, Geoff has spearheaded an effort to increase the Chinburg Builders presence as a commercial general contracting company.  He advises, guides, and coordinates proposals and pricing for outside development projects.  Geoff is helping the company to find a niche as a preferred general contractor and essential partner to developers. Additionally Geoff is on the company’s “Green Team” helping build more energy efficient homes and achieve LEED certified projects.  Geoff serves on the Board of Directors for the Seacoast Workforce Housing Coalition. Prior to his career at this company Geoff spent over 13 years in the historic preservation field working throughout New England on historic properties as a carpenter, consultant and contractor.


Jared Trayer, Residential Rental Property Manager

Jared manages the residential portfolio of Chinburg owned rental properties.  He is responsible for all leases, attraction of new tenants through proactive marketing, renewals, tenant relations and maintenance of the apartment buildings and grounds.  Jared is a licensed NH Real Estate Agent and has 6 years of experience as a property manager.


Roger Wittner, Project Manager

Roger began working as a project manager for Chinburg Builders in 1997.  Roger is extremely experienced and skilled with particular success in meeting budgets, and managing the subcontractors and vendors.  He has a unique ability to build rapport with customers and to be an ally, advisor and information resource about the building process.  Recent projects have included two large scale historic renovations, along with a consistent stream of new construction single family homes.  His skill and experience have provided a tremendous asset to 100+ Chinburg homeowners.
